Sponsors & Mission Partners

Faith & Grief Ministries is blessed through grant monies from congregations who are called to bring comfort to those who mourn. It is a humbling and joyous opportunity to collaborate with these congregations to meet the needs of persons in the aftermath of grief.

The Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church Foundation granted Faith & Grief Ministries a significant gift to equip Community Educators and Facilitators to share the good news of comfort.  Community Educators and Facilitators connect with individuals, professionals, and organizations to inform them of the bereavement resources available through Faith & Grief Ministries.  They are also available to facilitate grief workshops, teach Sunday School classes, and speak at civic organizations on “How to Comfort a Friend in Grief”, and “What Naomi can Teach Us:  The Dynamics of Grief”.  To schedule an appointment with a Community Educator, email info@faithandgrief.org

The St. Philip Presbyterian Central Mission Endowment granted Faith & Grief Ministries a substantial gift for promotion and scholarships for “Comfort and Hope on the Journey of Grief”, a weekend retreat held at Presbyterian Mo-Ranch Assembly in February 2016.  This grant reduced the registration fee and opened the way for 47 persons to participate in a weekend of comfort and healing. One participant reflected, “I felt the heart of God speaking and healed so much more than I ever anticipated. Faith and Grief provides something that’s been missing in our culture and churches for too long—a safe place to be vulnerable in grief. Faith and Grief helped us find so many tools, so many different ways to pray, so many scriptural references to guide us, so many warm memories from the stories and support.” To underwrite a retreat or provide scholarships in memory of a loved one, contact info@faithandgrief.org

Northridge Presbyterian Church continues to grant Faith & Grief Ministries support to continue the mission of providing ongoing resources of comfort to persons who have experienced the death of a loved one. Mission dollars expand the opportunities for adults to engage in the process of grief in a supportive and faith-filled community; thereby avoiding the ramifications of unresolved grief, such as depression, obesity, addiction, and isolation.
