How I Met the Love of My Life by Lyn Berman

This is about the love of my life and how I met him.

I was looking for an attorney for my divorce. A friend gave me Harold’s name, and I made an appointment to meet him. It turned out he didn’t do divorces. But we met anyway, and seven years later we were married. We were married for 40 wonderful years until he passed away in 2019.

When I met him to discuss my divorce, I remember thinking what a kind and gentle person he was. As crazy as it sounds, I think I knew then that he was going to be an important person in my life.

I miss his total being. He was a quiet man and never said a cross word about anyone. He always had a listening ear for me. We could look at each other and know each other’s thoughts.

The moments I loved most were holding hands, laughing, smiling, and feeling perfectly at peace with our life.

The deep love we shared not only keeps shaping my life, but also the lives of my kids and grandkids by the example we set for them as they grew up.
