Are you a frontline healthcare worker, or do you know someone who is?

You are invited to a day of rest, renewal, and recharge at this retreat hosted by Faith & Grief and Retreat House in Richardson, TX. The last few years have been an extraordinary time to work as a caring professional, and we are offering this retreat as a day of renewal for your heart, mind, body, and spirit.

Retreat House Spirituality Center and Faith & Grief are delighted to host Trained Spiritual Directors Tamara Ramirez, a registered nurse, and Phyllis Morton, a registered nurse, on Saturday, August 13, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. as they guide participants through a day of spiritual care.

What to expect?

This retreat will offer healthcare professionals holistic care as they face feelings of apathy, isolation, and compassion fatigue. Tamara and Phyllis do this by helping participants develop their spiritual care plan and find a deep connection with what is sacred in their lives, restoring their hearts and souls. Retreat hosts will provide tools and support as participants learn spiritual practices like:

  • Breath prayer
  • Gratitude and journaling
  • Breath practices to incorporate in the car
  • Meditative hikes
  • Art-based healing practices
  • Time to remember those you have cared for, loved, and lost
  • Up to 5 hours of free CE will be offered for nurses in attendance in person or virtually.
