Are you a pastor, chaplain, spiritual director, or someone who tends to the souls and spiritual needs of others?
Retreat House Spirituality Center and Faith & Grief is delighted to host Rev. Laura Murray and Ron Somers-Clark, Chaplain and Seminary professor, on Friday, August 19, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. as they guide participants through a day of spiritual care.
What to expect?
From 9 a.m. to NOON, Laura will lead retreatants into a place of rest and receiving. This will be a time of guided exploration and reflection through but not limited to:
- Visio Divina
- Praying with Scripture
- The practice of receiving grace
- The practice of candor and communication
At NOON, lunch will be provided. For those attending in person, Retreat House will be available for you to enjoy the walking labyrinth, library, as well as front lawn, and back porch.
Beginning at 1 p.m., Ron will guide participants through a time of reflection and dialogue on reframing our stories for renewal, including but not limited to:
- Resourcing our call stories
- Myths about ministry
- Sacred stories as resources
- Reflection on leadership styles
- Care for ourselves
This retreat will be offered through a hybrid option at either Retreat House in Richardson, Texas, or on ZOOM. Please indicate your preference when you register.
